Six Flags Magic Mountain Question?
We are planning to go to Six Flags this weekend and are staying in an RV at a campground near by. According to their website, they offer Free Kennel services for your dog while visiting the park. But there is no specific info on this anywhere. I tried calling them to ask for more info so that we are totally prepared but got an automated voice recording basically talking about general info. What I am wondering is the following for anyone who may know:

1. Is the kennel operated during the winter off season? (they are only open on weekends)
2. Do I need vaccination history? Food?
3. Any other info I should know?

How can i get rid of a demon?
I have 2 demons inside of me. They give me night terrors and possess me in sleep. I never have gruesome dreams or sleepwalk but i’ve been doing both lately. I also see it when i wake up. I know i have 2 demons because my youth minister has tried exorcising me but they won’t come out! Their starting to get stronger and possess me during the day adn it gets hard to take over! They are also starting to make it hard for me to touch my bible. It takes all i have to open a bible and pray and i am all for JESUS! He’s done so many great blessings for me and this is not how i want to repay him. PLEASE HELP!

Bits of Not Much

So, it hit me the other day that I need to hunt down the driver and program disks for my peripherals in order to set up my eventual future laptop. No problems, right? Umm… O_O;; It took an hour or more of hunting to find everything, and during that time, not only did I find the disks I need, but I also found the recovery disks for my three laptops before Mokkun (Compaq (Win… 95?), Toshiba (XP), and Acer (XP Pro)), three sets of disks for various Wacom tablets (only one set being the one I was looking for), MS Office *XP* Pro, and 3(? more?) copies of different years of Norton’s antivirus. Oh, I also found all the project disks for Saiun, Shounen Onmyouji, and GH. ^^;; Something tells me I really need to get rid of some of these things. *laughs* Otherwise, I tried out male parental’s laptop the other night to see if I might eventually be able to work with a bilingual keyboard. >.> It’s such an annoying keyboard and I have a tendency to type ‘\/1′ instead of ‘?!’. *sigh* As it is, I’m hoping to get a system with a monolingual keyboard. This time will hopefully be okay, but I get the feeling that, unless I start buying and importing from the US, I’ll have to switch over eventually. >.> The only company that I’ve seen that still has monolingual English keyboards is Dell. Everyone else seems to have gone bilingual. There are advantages I suppose to the bilingual keyboard. If I ever get the itch to work on my French again, it would make things much easier in terms of typing. But the reduced size of the Enter and the left shift keys were proving rather difficult to adjust to. And the one thing that’s been bouncing around the back of the mind with no answer in sight yet is what to name my eventual new system. >.> So far, my systems have been named Neya (Toshiba, name from Ryvius), Yggdrasil (Acer, name inspired from AMG / Norse mythology), Mokkun (Asus W7S, Shounen Onmyouji), and Haku (Asus Eee, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi a.k.a. Spirited Away). Haku and Mokkun were also chosen because the systems are/were both white. Hopefully I’ll be able to think of something, but… *sigh* Suzaku, Dionysus, and Eos are the names I’ve come up with so far, but none of them really grab me. Benzaiten is another possibility, but… >.> I really don’t want to end up naming it ‘Nanashi’. ^^; And working on FSU’s laptop is actually kind of nice. (Not to mention it’s matte, so it’s easier on the eyes.) I used it a fair bit back before getting Mokkun for surfing and stuff. It has passive cooling so it’s not meant for any serious applications, but she keeps a lot of music on her computer. I’ll have to remember to steal some of her files later. I’m going Gateway this time because of specs. ^^; Shall see how it goes. Acer bought out Gateway about a year ago, so it’ll be interesting. (I guess it’ll essentially be my second Acer. I actually don’t mind them.) My second choice was Samsung, but its specs were a bit oddball in places and it has a bilingual keyboard, so I decided to try out Gateway instead. (I’ll admit, the system I’m getting is majorly heavy, so I’m not too keen on that. >.> ) Dell would have been my third choice. It was actually a bit weird going through system specs this time around since I was looking specifically for those systems that came with Ati graphics instead of nVidia. I’m a bit leery of nVidia at the moment, but they seem to be the more common. Thrice bitten for me now. (I’m pretty sure my Toshiba had a nVidia graphics card.) Nyx is probably going a bit too far from where I’m looking for names. Her daughters Erythia and Hesperethusa are more likely though. Touda… he’s a bit too cold personality-wise for me. ^^; I had briefly debated Guren, but… considering how things went with Mokkun, I’m a bit leery of going that way. I suspect I’ll have to wait until I see the system before names really start coming to mind. ^^; And saying that, the idea of thinking of a name based around it being a ‘Gateway’ came to mind. The first thought was the opening to Hell. ……Umm, maybe not. ^^;

The resolution on 16 x 9 screens depends on whether you get a TrueHD (aka Full HD) monitor or not. A TrueHD screen is able to display Blu-Ray disks. They’ll be 1920 x 1080. Otherwise, the screen resolution on 16 x 9 screens isn’t standard. Many are 1600 x 900 like Aki’s. But my 16 x 9 screen is 1440 x 900. It just depends on what system you get.

Actually, 1440×900 is 16:10 which is the same aspect ratio I’ve had for my last two laptops. The switch to 16:9 means that either I have to find sites that are so up to date that they make wallpapers that size (quite unlikely considering how long it took sites to start releasing higher res widescreen wallpapers), or I have to make my own. I do occasionally use scans and such for my wallpaper, but I’ve been using HakuYou’s wallpapers for the past while now. And since they’re all max 1280 wide, I have to find something else now. >.>

The system is very heavy weight-wise. It’s as heavy as if not more so than some 17″ systems now. >.> Shall see if it’s worth it when I get it. (Actually, I’ve spoiled myself with my last three systems always aiming for lightweight portables. ^^; Hopefully the added weight will allow for better cooling (hence better system life) compared to my lightweights. ^^;

im pregnant should i tell the father? please read the whole story and be serious?hat would you like to ask?
have just found out im pregnant. 15 weeks to be close to exact. I wasnt planning this pregnancy and have been told pretty much since i started going to the "lady" doctor that i wouldnt be able to have children naturally if at all. so this all came as a big shock and part of the reason why im already 3 months and didnt find out until now (but i am so happy and so excited about this child now). the question i would like to ask is I dont know if I should tell the father. I dated him and loved him very very much for the past 2 1/2 years. He was in the military and in Iraq about a year and a half ago and was injured. Drove over and IED. He recieced some injuries and was in the hospital for 13 days but He came back not even close to the same person he was when he left, his being is 2nd deployment. Physically he is the same mentially he isnt. I spent the last 1 1/2 trying to find that person i loved so much trying to get back something that was him, but he isnt there anymore. I feel like the man i fell inlove with died over there and this person i know know looks an awful lot like him but thats all they share in common. After a year and a half and supporting him and trying to get him back waiting and seeing if he would heal and come back to me, i couldnt take it anymore and ended the relationship about 3 months ago. I drug him to the doctors because he was fine. I made him take the medication they gave him even though he said he "didnt need it". I spent a 1 1/2 with this man. I know him extreamly well. I was up half the night for the past 1 1/2 with the night terrors and the screaming and the jerking. during the day i worried about where he was what he was doing if he was alright. I would wonder if today was going to be a good day or a bad one, if he’d even come home and if he didnt would he call? Dont get me wrong Im still inlove with the man i fell inlove with 2 1/2 years ago who was my everything and was so so good to me. he was my soul mate and everything i could have ever wanted in a person and thats why i didnt want to leave him. I know he gave a great sacrafice to his country, i know the sacrafice he paid better then anyone else, but the issue now is im pregnant and i really dont believe i should tell him. I belive he needs to find peace and i dont think that he will be able to do that with a child and i dont belive he (as he is now) would be a healthy influence. I love this baby more then anything and part of me is happy that its part of him. When i look at my child years from now ill be able to remember the love of my life and see bits of him in my babys face. Im just wondering if other people would see me not telling him as wrong. I dont care what i go threw really (bringing him into my life again) but i want a happy and loving and healthy environment for my child, thats the most important thing…. and i know i can provide it alone and am not 100% sure it would be that way with the father involved.
i would tell my child about his father because i know he was a great man. and eventually I would like to tell our child everything…. i know that in the future if the child wants to know its father thats its choice and i will take on full responsiblily for not telling him. I already have a picture of us for the nursery and have started to put together a scrapbook. I dont live with him and i dont see him anymore… hes actually left town for awhile to stay with his sister in NC (a state away). im just very confused. I’ve seen the way his parents raised him and his father hasnt helped with his mental state now and even tho i love his father i dont believe he was a good influance on my ex when he was a child or growing up…. Im just very confused and unsure with what to do. I wants best for my baby first and formost, me and the father come second in line. I make exceptional income and do not need someone to help me when it come to money….

Ultimately the choice of telling him is yours. I understand everything you have said he has been through and I can see why you think he wouldn’t be a good influence right now. And how having a baby seems like another thing for him to deal with.

You need to tell him. He has a right to know that he is going to be a father. If you feel it isn’t safe for the baby to be alone with him than there is supervised visitation. You don’t have to be with him for him to be a part of your child’s life. Not to mention your child deserves to know their father and all that he has sacrificed for his country.
Besides knowing he is going to be a father might be the thing he need most now, it might inspire him to listen to the Dr’s advice and to take his medicine. I know he must be going through some really horrible times and you are going through them with him. It is not an easy road for either of you. he might not be the same man you fell in love with but he needs to know he has a child out there and also your child needs to know him, that isn’t fair to the child to do that. I mean what are you going to tell the child about its father when he/she starts asking? They start asking early. If you can’t deal with his ups and downs (I know it is hard) that is no reason for your child not to know his father to make your life simpler. Maybe and that is a big maybe the child will show him the good in the world. Make him want to go to the drs appts. take his meds. all that for the child.

thats the sad thing about this war they dump on our boys. the only reason to tell him now is for medical for the child.but on the otherhand you know him best. i would make a scrap book of dad for the child so you can let the baby know he was loved and who knows maybe in time your ex will heal and be able to meet his child later. be strong and stay healthy for baby. best wishes i think you are doing the right thing for now. good luck

Talk to his family, they might be able to help you make this decision. Personally, I think you should tell him, but at the end of the day it is your decision.
You should know that with time, and ALOT of support, your boyfriend will begin to recover from the horrors that he has seen and been close to.

First, I would like to say thank you to the father for serving his country. And thank you for supporting him. Unfortunately you have both suffered a great deal over the last year. But I think the right answer is to tell him he is the father. When a person serves in the military and is deployed to Iraq, they rarely come back the same person they were before they left. You made the decision to enter into a relationship with this man. You decided to continue the relationship when he came back. You decided to have sex with this man knowing the risks (even if you were told you couldn’t have children). I am sad that you have lost the man you fell in love with, but that doesn’t change the fact that he has a right to know. Once the baby is born you can asses weather a continued relationship with the father is a good environment or not. But every child has the right to know who their parents are. And every person should have the right to know if they are going to become a parent. My heart goes out to you, and to the father.

It sounds like the only way you know to prevent the possibility of a bad outcome with the father is to not tell him he has a child.

Your motives are good. You want to protect your baby (and yourself , which is harder to admit but every bit as important)) from the stress of living with a good but troubled man who may not be able to be the father you wish he was.

But you don’t know that being the father he can be will be a bad thing for his child. Right now that is only your fear.

Deep down you know that it would be wrong not to tell him.

What I don’t hear is that you feel you have any other choices. But you do. They may be harder, but we all need to live our lives in a way that we can be proud of. Living any other way deprives us of self-respect. Do you know of anyone without self-respect who lives a good life? Can you be a good parent, will your child learn to respect you, himself or others without your own self-respect?

You need to tell the father. That doesn’t mean you have to commit to sharing a life with him

Before you tell him, try to get a clear idea of what you need , what he can really be expected to do, and what boundaries you need to have regarding his place in your and your baby’s life. Maybe that means you don’t live together. Or he commits to actively trying to get healthier. Or you both commit to family counseling. Or take a break from the relationship for a year, whatever.

I know you love your baby like only a mother can, but don’t forget that you do not own this little person, just as no one owns you. And, for better or worse, the reality is you are not his/her only parent.

Is it ok to shave a St. Bernard in the summer?
I have a St. Bernard that is 125lbs- a big boy. Due to the army we are living at Fort Irwin which is in the middle of the mojave desert. today its supposed to be over 100* I have heard of people shaving their saints but i also heard that if you shave them their under coats wont grow back correctly or something of that nature. does anyone know for sure?

Like the others said the coat is protection. The best thing to do to keep him cool is provide water, shade and do not leave him outside unattended. Also heavy exercise when it is hot is NOT advised. Keep his coat brushed out (get the dead hair) and make sure he is not dirty. This will prevent any heat problems. I am sure there are other things you can do but my brain is off and not thinking…
Google preventing heat stroke in dogs or something. That should help.
